Louisville Police Respond to Two Separate Shooting Incidents Over The Weekend

The Louisville Police Department responded to a call on Vance Street around 1:39 a.m. on Saturday morning at the club classic. And altercation led to shots fired and resulted in four minor injuries. Three individuals required medical attention. One suspect is sought and has been identified.

In a separate incident police were called to the 500 block of Warner Avenue due to a report of shots being fired. This occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Witnesses said a small,dark,gray car stopped in the street in front of a residence and fired shots into the home. There were no injuries and police are still investigating at this time.

 Said Chief L.M. Claiborne, "there appears to be a rash of shootings in the community recently. We will do our best to find and remove the individuals responsible from our community."

Officers Respond To Shooting on North Court Ave. 11-8-15

On Sunday, November 08, 2015 at 11:00 PM, officers responded to a shots fired call at 505 North Court Ave. Upon arrival officers found two people shot inside of the house.

One, an adult male, had been shot in the lower leg. The other, a male juvenile had been shot in the groin. One was transported to Oktibbeha County Hospital, while the other was taken to UMC in Jackson.

LPD respond To Burglary at Local Laundromat

LPD responded to a call on 11-1-15 at the Soap & Suds Laundromat around 8:15 a.m. Manager indicated that the lock on an office door had been broken and the door was damaged.  A soap dispenser had also been broken into.  Video showed a black female with a Louisville school jacket with the number 30 on it . Black sweat pants with Louisville on the left leg and a tan cap. The video is being further processed to identify facial features of the suspect. LPD Looking For Suspect In Car Wash Breaking & Entering

Louisville Police Department responded to a call on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the car wash on 810 N. Church. After inspection, it was determined that someone had entered the building. The perpetrator left a cap (seen below) at the scene as well as a broken end of a pellet gun.
