Winston Co Sheriff Investigators Searching for Suspect

The Winston County Sheriff's Dept. is asking the public for assistance in locating Lance Earnest, 31
y.o.a. Earnest is wanted in connection with an early Sunday morning shooting at a local nightclub in Winston County. Earnest allegedly shot a Security Guard at the Spotlight Lounge in Winston County. Earnest is believed to be in or around Philadelphia, MS but also has ties in Jackson, MS. Earnest had a beard at the time of the shooting but it may have been removed. This photo shows a clean shaven Earnest.

Winston Co. Sheriff Seeks Info in Business Robery

The Winston County Sheriff's Department is seeking information related to a break-in and burglary of  Hobson's Grocery on Thursday night or Friday morning - (July 20-21). The perpetrators gained entry into the store located on 5036 Hinze-Rural Hill Road by breaking a window with a BB or pellet gun. A small amount of cash, cigarettes and beer were stolen. Information Sought in Arson Case

Investigation by law enforcement indicates that a recent fire at a Louisville business was the result of
arson. The property at 119 South Church Avenue, a service station converted to a carwash/detailing business was damaged by a blaze at around 2:00 am on Sunday, July 9th. Investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office found evidence of arson.

A reward is offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Public's Assistance Needed in Locating Suspects in Stolen Construction Trailer Burglary

The Winston County Crime Stoppers and the Winston County Sheriff Department are requesting the public's assistance for information concerning the theft of construction tools and a construction trailer from the grounds of Popular Flat Church on Poplar Flat Road. Sometime during the days of May 5, 6 or 7,  a construction trailer on that site was broken into and a large number of tools were stolen - including power tools. On Monday evening, May 15, or early Tuesday morning, thieves returned and stole the construction trailer and its contents.

There were a large number of power tools, construction tools, air compressor and hand tools. The trailer involved was a 12 foot Homesteader with double rear doors and a side door.  The trailer had a missing or damaged fender on the driver's side. Winston Sheriff Searching for Suspect in Connection of Burglaries Within the County



The Winston County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's assistance in locating Johnathan Keith Stafford wanted for questioning in connection with a number of burglaries in the county, including several in the Nanih Waiya area. Stafford from the Preston area is a white male, 32 years old, 180 lbs and 5' 10" tall. He is known to drive a black Dodge Journey. Louisville PD Investigating Monday Morning Burglaries

Louisville Police and ATF officials are investigating a burglary of a number of guns from a Louisville business. The burglary occurred at 4:13 am on Monday (2-20-17) at the Western Auto on West Main. Reports indicate that more than 10 handguns were taken. This is the second time this property has been burglarized since May of 2016.

Assistant Chief Andy Taylor indicated that there was surveillance on the scene and that the department is reviewing video and following up on other leads.
