Louisville PD Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

The Louisville Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating a suspect in an armed robbery. The Tobacco Outlet on South Church Street was robbed on December 13th. LPD is searching for Christopher Ellis (pictured here) in connection with the case.

Louisville PD Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect - 12-13-16

On December 13, 2016 at 7:38 PM officers responded to the Tobacco Outlet, 208 South Church Ave. to a reported armed robbery. Officers spoke with the clerk who stated a black male wearing a ski mask entered the store armed with a small handgun. The suspect ordered her to take him to the safe. He then made the clerk get on the floor and he took the money from the safe. Winston Co. Sheriff Searching for Stolen 4Wheeler

The Winston County Sheriff is offering a reward up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect(s) responsible for the theft of an ATV on Tuesday night (October 18).
 The 2015 Polaris Razor pictured here was taken from a residence on Johnson 5 Road south of Noxapater.

Sheriff Requests Info on Burglaries

The Winston County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help concerning a pair of burglaries that occurred in the early morning hours of September 19 on Brooksville Road in the Singleton area. Best estimates indicate that the thefts occurred around 5:00 am. A similar theft occurred in the Crystal Ridge area as well.

Some of the items include but is not limited to:

A Kawasaki 4-wheeler,Stihl 440 magnum chainsaw, Stevens 12 gauge shotgun, severally cordless drills ( Dewalts and a Skil), Cordless Sawzall, Almost new Dewalt 7" grinder, Dewalt compact router, a large amount of hand tools and wrenches, Pulsar nx550 scope, Bushnel digital monocular, almost new pair of camo knee Muck boots size 13, an assortment of game cameras and hunting clothing.

Louisville Police Seeking Suspect

RESOLVED     A woman paying for groceries at Vowell's Market Place on August 1, 2016 accidentally left an envelope with $600 cash at the register. When she went to retrieve the envelope the cashier told her that a middle aged black male with a hat and shades told her it was his when she asked. When the store's security video was reviewed, it clearly shows the man taking the money. The suspect was driving a white vehicle, make unknown, with an American flag tied to the drivers mirror. Sheriff's Office Searching for 3 Juveniles Involved in Strong Arm Robbery

The Winston County Sheriff's Office is searching for 3 suspects in a strong arm robbery that occurred at 7:15 pm last night (Thursday) on Youngs' Crossing Road near the intersection with Hwy 15. It is believed that the suspects are juveniles in the 12-16 year age range.

The victim stopped his vehicle for 3 black youth on the roadside. One suspect pulled a handgun and demanded that the victim take them to a residence further down the road. The suspects entered the vehicle and in the process, stole a 9 mm black and pink handgun from the glove compartment.

At some point, the victim suddenly hit his brakes and the 3 juveniles bailed from the vehicle and fled from the scene. In the process of flight, the handgun initially used in the robbery was dropped by one of the suspect and is in the possession of WCSD.

The suspects were described as 3 black males, one appeared to be as young as 12-13 years old, two others appeared to by in the 15-16 year old range. WCSD is working with the victim to identify these youth. LPD Asks for Info on Commercial Burglaries - Handgun Thefts

RESOLVEDThere were two commercial burglaries in Louisville over the weekend and both involve the theft of guns. On Friday night, May 20, Western Auto located on West Main Street in Louisville was broken into. The front door glass was broken and several handguns were taken from the property.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 22, Bennett's Do It Center located on South Church Avenue in Louisville was also burglarized. The front door entrance glass was broken and a number of handguns were stolen including a number of Glock and Sig Sauer pistols.

Louisville Police have been investigating, questioned several people and have since recovered at least three guns from one of these burglaries. Home Invasion - May 24

RESOLVED  In the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 24, the Louisville Police Department responded to a 911 call in the 1000 block of North Columbus Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene almost immediately and found that the front door of the residence had been kicked in.

Upon talking with the occupant of the home, it was determined that a black male in a white T-shirt and jeans had kicked in the front door of the home and had taken a Ruger 9-millimeter semi-automatic pistol, $160 in change and the property owner's driver's license and credit cards.

The female occupant of the home did struggle with the perpetrator and suffered some minor scratches and bruises, but did not require medical care. Sheriff Asks for Public's Assistance on March 27 Burglary.

The Winston County Sheriff's Department is searching for information related to the burglary of a home in the 2100 block of Hinze Rural Hill Rd.  The break -in occurred on March 27 and no one was home at the time. A gun safe was broken into and a number of guns were taken along with several televisions: Some of the guns taken include:
Browning shotgun, Revelation shotgun, Mossberg shotgun, Winchester rifle, 2 Marlin rifles, Savage rifle, Weatherby -Vanguard rifle and a Armi-Elli-TA revolver.

LPD Responds to Robbery

On Wednesday evening, April 6, 2016,  Louisville Police responded to a call in the 100 block of Hillcrest Circle. Upon arrival, it was determined that an employee of a local wrecker service had been called to unlock a vehicle. When he approached a male subject standing in the yard, another male approached him from behind, shoved him against the vehicle and snatched a wallet from the victim's back pocket and ran east toward Hwy 397. A significant amount of cash and several credit cards were taken.

Two Injured in Louisville Shooting Thursday 1-14-16

On January 14, 2016 officers were dispatched to South Johnson Ave concerning a person who had been shot. Upon officers arrival a male juvenile was found shot. He was transported to the Emergency Room at WMC for treatment. Moments later another male juvenile arrived who had been shot in the same incident. After talking to victims and witnesses it was determined both had been shot by Ladarious Kirk of Louisville.
