CrimeStoppers Alert - Dec 10 Armed Robbery

SOLVED!!!
On December 10 2014 at around 7:15 PM, Louisville Police Officers were dispatched to 510 West Main St, Dixie Gas, to an armed robbery call.

The clerk stated two young black males came into the store armed with a handgun demanding all the money. There was another individual outside the store acting as a look out. They left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

LDP Make Arrests in Louisville High School Break In

On 11-19-14, the Career Technical Center (Vo-Tech) at Louisville High School was broken into and a safe was taken out of the office.  Investigation by the Louisville Police Department with assistance from school resource officer, Thomas (Pup) Kelly led to the arrest of two adults and three juveniles.

Entry was made by breaking out a classroom window on the north side of the Career Tech Center.  Subjects then broke the office window and gained entry to the office where the safe was located.  The safe was rolled from the scene by use of a large dolly.

Louisville Police also made arrests on two armed robbery cases that were reported on December 12, 2013 and on April 18, 2014 at Dixie Gas Company on West Main Street in Louisville.

In these cases, a juvenile male will be charged as an adult. This individual will also be charged in relation to a residential burglary that occurred on Mississippi Avenue in Louisville on October 8, 2014.

Woman Wanted for Questioning in Burglaries

The Winston County Sheriff’s Dept. is asking for help in locating Benetta Jones, 32 old years, in connection with the recent burglaries around Noxapater, MS. Jones was accompanied by Clifton Smith and Carlos Daniels who are already in custody and charged with business burglary. Jones was last seen in Winston County Thursday night, 11/06/2014. She also could possibly be located in Laurel, MS or around Jones County. Info Needed on Rash of Burglaries in the County

The Winston County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating a rash of burglaries that have occurred over the past few days. Sheriff’s Dept. investigators are investigating 7 burglaries that have occurred since Sunday night. One residence that entry was made into was occupied by an 84 yr. old woman. No harm was done to her as the suspect fled from the residence. Items such as laptop computers, televisions, jewelry and guns were taken. LPD Asks for Public's Help - Eiland Middle School Burglaries and Vandalism

The Louisville Police Department and Winston County CrimeStoppers are asking for your assistance in the following ongoing investigations:

On October 8, 2014, Louisville PD responded to Eiland Middle School to find that the 5th grade hall had been vandalized and several items taken. Entry was made on the north entry of the alternative/5th grade hall. Items taken include:

On October 25, 2014 Eiland Middle School was burglarized and vandalized. A window was broken to gain access and glass windows in classrooms and the library were broken as well.  The  thieves took the following items:

  3. 1 Playstation 3
  4. 1 Google Chrome Cast Adaptor
  5. 1 Apple to Device
  6. $30.00 in change

Louisville PD Ask for Info on Two Area Burglaries

The Louisville Police Department and Winston County CrimeStoppers are asking for your assistance in the following ongoing investigations:


  • On September 4, the athletic complex and other buildings at Louisville High School were burglarized. The suspect is a black male wearing a ski mask and gloves. Three I-Pads, a computer, a number of I-Cloud pads and two Sony video cameras were stolen.



  • On September 12, a residence in the 300 block of East Main was burglarized. Items taken from the property were stacked behind the house and the perpetrators were frightened away before they could be removed. An amount of cash was taken from the home.

Winston Strong and Local Business Burglaized over the Weekend

SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY!!!The Winston Strong warehouse located at 902 S. Columbus and Hudspeth Construction at 805 S. Church were burglarized over the weekend (Sept 19-21). Power tools were taken from both locations with the majority taken from the Winston Strong facility.

Louisville Police were contacted on Monday morning after the thefts were discovered.Mike Dowd with Winston Strong indicated a significant number of new Milwaukee power tools including cordless drills and saws were taken. A full inventory is being conducted to identify the stolen items.

Dowd indicated that these items were donated by Milwaukee Tool and were to be used in the construction of new homes by Winston Strong groups for last April's tornado victims.

The burglaries occurred sometime between closing on Friday afternoon (Sept 19) and  Monday morning. LPD investigator Greg Clark is asking for the public's assistance in this case. Sheriff Asks for Info on Stolen 4-Wheeler

The Winston County Sheriff's department and CrimeStoppers are searching for information on a stolen ATV. The 4-wheeler shown below was reported stolen from a residence on Jack Pearson Road on August 23. The ATV was seen at the residence on Friday, August 22. It is a 2011 Honda Rancher, 4 wheel drive and camouflage in color.

Law Enforcement Looking for Suspects in Fuel Theft, Embezzlement

CASE PENDING:Local law enforcement is looking for information leading to the arrest of an individual or individuals for the theft of as much as $10,000 in fuel through the unauthorized use of a company credit card at the Waring Oil location on West Main in Louisville in the months of April/May. The Winston County Sheriff's Department is looking for two individuals for questioning who were in the truck pictured above and below.

Video timestamp indicate that the events occurred at least on April 17, 2014 and May 11. Winston Co Sheriif Seeking Information on Hwy 15 N Break-In

The Winston County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance concerning a break-in at a residence in the 5000 block area of Hwy 15 N. The incident was reported on July 14.

Investigators determined that an outbuilding was broken into and a Hoyt Hybrid Bow with case was taken. The back door of the home was broken and a 46 " Westinghouse flat screen TV and a 31" Samsung flat screen TV was taken along with assorted jewelry and work clothes.

LPD Looking for Info On Armed Robbery - 6-3-14

Louisville Police are looking for information relating to an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, June 3 at the apartment complex located at 1658 Hwy 15 South. A tenant at the complex was robbed at around 1:30 am outside of her apartment by a black male wearing a mask and wielding a gun. The perpetrator took a purse and briefcase in the robbery. Armed Robbery Attempt on West Main - 6-2-2014



An armed robbery was attempted on Monday, June 2 at Dixie Gas located on 510 West Main in Louisville. Louisville Police Dept was called to the retail store at 6:18 pm where the owner indicated that a black male wearing a hood entered the store and pointed a gun and demanded money.

The owner refused and chased the perpetrator out of the store and threw a small display case hitting the assailant in the head. The assailant fled the scene on foot behind the store.

Reward Offerd for Info on Store Robbery - March 21, 2014

The Winston County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating a commercial burglary of Mali’s Country Store located
on Hwy 25 South. The burglary occurred in the early morning hours of March 21, 2014. A large amount of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. No suspects have been identified, however,some pictures of the suspects were taken by the surveillance cameras. There is a $500.00 reward offered for information leading to the arrest of these individuals.

Reward Offered - Highway Sign Vandalism

Highway sign vandalism has become a major problem across Winston County and Winston County CrimeStoppers are ready to take action. These signs are examples of damage done recently along HighPoint-Weir Road.

The cost  of replacing vandalized signs can be significant and includes the cost of the sign but also of the labor involved. Damaged,obscured or missing signs are not just an eyesore but are also a traffic hazard to those traveling the roads across the County.

Suspect Sought in Vehicle Theft

CAPTURED!!!!

The Winston County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect and a stolen vehicle from the 5000 block of Hwy 15 N.  The Dodge pickup was taken around 10:30 am on Tuesday morning (Feb18) from a residence. Chief Deputy Keith Alexander indicated that authorities were looking for John Michael Jackson in connection with the theft. Jackson is a white male born on 3-4-1969. The last known location of Jackson and the vehicle was in the Grenada area.

Sheriff Seeks Public's Help for Info on Stolen Vehicle

The Winston County Sheriff’s office is looking for the second of two stolen vehicles. On the morning of January 10, 2014, local 911 received a call from the 4000 block of Highway 393 near the Nanih Waiya Mound concerning the theft of a 2004 Dodge Intrepid from the property.
The first of two stolen vehicles (this one stolen from Kemper County) submerged in Nanih Waiya Creek. A second vehicle was stolen (2004 Dodge Intrepid) from the area. The second vehicle is still missing. (Photo - WC Sheriff Office)
